Project details

In 1999, the Ossenmarkt parking garage was built on a bottom-sealing layer of potting clay. Over the years, this sealing layer has risen. In 2020, Civiele technieken deBoer, commissioned by Q-Park, took over the parking garage at 87 jacking points and lowered it 100 mm.

We were already involved in the design of the jacking facility during construction. At that time, it was already recognized that this phenomenon (the rising of the bottom) would occur. By being involved early in the design, this jacking action could be carried out efficiently. Steel filler blocks were incorporated in the concrete columns, which could be easily removed.

This project is a perfect example of the benefits that can be achieved by involving us at the earliest possible stage.
