Maintenance is required to reliably maintain our civil structures. This maintenance is very varied and specialized. It varies from Major Maintenance of an entire bridge to minor specialist maintenance of parts of bridges and viaducts. The Replacement and Renovation Task is a current theme in the market in which we operate. When bridges or parts thereof are outdated or weakened, but still have to last for a while, life-extending maintenance is required. Civiele technieken deBoer carries out this maintenance for you.
Renovation and maintenance in all facets
Whether it concerns maintenance of complete structures, constructions or specific parts thereof, we assist you in the design and execution of these activities. We have a wide range of specializations on board to tackle large and small maintenance issues. We always do this with the focus on safe and controlled execution. We do this together with our extensive network of partners and suppliers. We have extensive experience with various contract forms. In this way, we control the technology and the process for you.
A complete approach
In this role, we carry out the renovations of complete bridges. We are responsible for all facets of these renovations. In doing so, we go beyond just the specializations that we can carry out independently. For example, we include matters such as conservation or asphalt work in these projects. In addition, we are also happy to take care of all the soft sides of the work, such as project and environmental management. This means we are always able to fulfil our independent role in all aspects of renovation and maintenance.

From partial renovations to extensive maintenance
We focus on performing maintenance on both movable and fixed (steel) bridges. To keep our infrastructure safe, fit and vital, we focus on:
- Replacing specific parts of structures, such as supports.
- (Temporary) support to immediately eliminate unsafe situations.
- Strengthening or relieving problematic or overloaded connections and construction components.
- Reinforcing existing steel structures of bridges.
- Replacing rivets and installing preload bolts and preload injection bolts.
- Using monitoring systems to gain direct insight.
- Emergency repairs and temporary facilities in the event of calamities

Installation of complex steel constructions
The combination with Rijnstaal enables us to carry out high-quality steel constructions and repairs under EXC4 during renovation and maintenance. This allows us to act quickly when necessary. Because Rijnstaal is located in the same building as Civiele technieken deBoer, we are able to shape 1+1=3 in the field of complex and high-quality steel constructions. 
Applying and replacing bearings
Combined with our jacking specialism, we apply all types of bearings. Both in new construction situations and when replacing bearings. In this case, we also like to include the delivery of the bearings in our scope. We are familiar with all applicable standards and regulations that apply within this specialism.
Injecting heavily loaded connections
For the German supplier Diamant, Civiele technieken deBoer is the prescribed applicator in the Netherlands. Diamant supplies the highest conceivable quality of unique injection materials. These materials are used for the injection of steel connections that are subject to very high loads.
